Heritage Museum War Memorial PlaquesPrint Page Print this page

Photographs supplied by Ian Bevege

The plaques commemorate those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

When the Batemans Bay foreshore was redeveloped, the original war memorial which used to stand at the corner of Beach Road and Orient Street was transferred to the new site and erected on a new matching plinth.

The original name plaques from the old memorial were salvaged by the Batemans Bay Historical Society and re-erected at the Old Courthouse Museum.
