Australia Remembers
1945 - 1995

Throughout both world wars the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds were used as a staging camp for the armed servics.

During this time many thousands of Australian service personnel passed through these grounds prior to embarkation on overseas service.

This plaque, unveiled on 15 August 1995 the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of World War II, commemorates the memory
of those personnel
