Enngonia War Memorial Hall Print Page
The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It was built and opened in 1957 at a cost of £12000. The money was raised locally and several graziers were guarantors and trustees of the hall.
The news of the official opening of the Enngonia War Memorial Hall on Saturday, 17th August, announced in our last issue, has been greeted with enthusiasm by people as far afield as Cunnamulla, Bourke, and Brewarrina. To celebrate the occasion, the Enngonia War Memorial Hall Association has arranged a giant sports meeting for the day, with a grand ball in the new hall at night. It will be officially opened at 10 pm.
