The Aleppo pine tree (Pinus halepensis) commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The Aleppo Pine is one of two species of pine at Gallipoli, the other being the Lone Pine (Pinus brutia).

This pine was planted by Mr George Bennett, President of the Cann River RSL Sub-branch on 19th June 2006.
This tree was planted, not only in memory of the soldiers who fought at the Battle of Lone Pine, but to all soldiers who have fought and died for their country
