The public art memorial commemorates the service of Australian men and women who have served at home and abroad. Funding was received through the Anzac Centenary Grants Program. The memorial is installed at the new entrance to the barracks on Heathcote Road. 

The memorial commemorates the Centenary of ANZAC and the First World War with specific connections to Holsworthy Barracks and the Liverpool Local Government Area.  It also details the evolution of the Australian Army since 1914 and honours those who have served and continue to serve both overseas and at home.
