Photographs supplied by Sandra Brown
The plaque, which is situated in part of the original club area, commemorates the opening of the Hornsby War Memorial RSL Club Building in 1956. The original building was erected as a war memorial in memory of those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The RSL Club has since undergone extensive renovations but some parts of the original building remain.
