The plaque commemorates the site of the original location of the Dayboro War Memorial.
The War Memorial was removed from its position in the school grounds to Roderick Cruice Park and rededicated on the 11th November 2011.

Front Inscription
A cenotaph was placed on this site by the Dayboro community in 1920, following World War 1, to honour those who fought and those who paid the supreme sacrifice and to show gratitude and sympathy to those who mourned them.
It was relocated to Roderick Cruice Park in 2011.
