The plaque commemorates Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. 

The plaque was presented by Patti Bond, at the unveiling of the new honour board at Cherbourg in 2015, on behalf of the Bunya Wakka Wakka people, to Trevor Sanderson from the Murgon RSL Sub-Branch with the plaque to be mounted at the Murgon RSL Club acknowledging the war service to Australia of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
