Armidale War Memorial LibraryPrint Page Print this page

Photographs supplied by John Huth

The library commemorates those who served in World War One and World War Two. The foyer of the Library contains a bronze Roll of Honour. The original library building was opened in Faulkner Street in March 1955. The library has been relocated to new premises in Rusden Street.

The Governor (Lieut-General Sir John Northcott) will lay the foundation stone of Armidale's war memorial library on Nov. 25. The library, to cost £15,000, will replace the present old colonial-type structure.
