Kahibah Public School Memorial HallPrint Page Print this page

The Public School Memorial Hall commemorates those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The first sod for construction of the hall was turned on 17 October 2001 with the first function, the Year 6 farewell dinner/dance, being held on 18 December 2002. It was officially opened on 4 November 2004 by The Honourable Matthew Morris MLA, local member for the State seat of Charlestown. The hall was partly funded by $110,00 resulting from the sale of Kahibah Memorial Hall. The State Government contributed a further $250,000 to the project.

The School Memorial Hall now houses the Honour Rolls which were originally located in the former Memorial Hall which was demolished in 1996.
