Casterton Memorial Hospital was dedicated in memory of those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The Casterton Hospital was opened in 1908 and an appeal for funds for a new building known as "The Casterton Memorial Hospital" were commenced in 1946 after the end of World War Two. A sum of £2064 was raised in a radio broadcast with the Casterton RSL contributing £1401.
The new building was unveiled on February 6th 1959 by General Sir Dallas Brooks.
