The War Memorial commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.  The design of the memorial has changed and in the 1990s it was relocated to its present site.

The Cranbourne War memorial was originally unveiled on the 27th August 1939 by Mr. R. Fripp, Country Vice-President of the Returned Soldiers League. The obelisk war memorial was erected in front of the Shire Hall Offices and dedicated to those from the Shire of Cranbourne who fought in the Great War.
