Kaniva Memorial Swimming PoolPrint Page Print this page

Kaniva Memorial Swimming Pool contains a gun and cenotaph dedicated to Australian servicemen and women who have served in all wars and conflicts.

At the Kaniva Council meeting the secretary Mr. T.P. Kelly reported that he was going to Melbourne to finalise plans to secure a permit to proceed with the construction of the Soldiers' Memorial swimming pool. He thought the cost would far exceed the original £6000 and would probably cost £8000 or £9000 to complete. He did not propose to erect elaborate dressing sheds. The Council would gain some idea of the final cost when tenders were called.
