The Memorial Hall was erected in memory of those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. 

MURTOA, Friday. — A new memorial hall at Lubeck was opened today by Mr. W. J. Mibus M.L.A. (Borung). An honor board to ex-servicemen was then unveiled. The hall was built at a cost of £6000. John Stuart and Curteis Crawford of 3DB will attend a grand opening ball to be held Friday, September 24.
