Government Printing Office Honour RollPrint Page Print this page

The honour roll originally commemorated employees of the Government Printing Office who served in World War One. The centre panel records those who died in service or were killed in action in World Wars One and Two.

The Government Printing Office Honour Roll was unveiled by the Chief Secretary, The Hon. J.G. Bice on the 24th December 1919. The roll contained the names of 22 members of the staff who had enlisted in the war. In the centre was given the roll of honour— the names of five of their fellow employees who had fallen fighting for the flag.
The Register (Adelaide), 25th December 1919.
