The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The Compton Soldiers' Memorial Hall Committee, having obtained an acre of ground next to the School, intend to build a hall. At the annual meeting, it was decided to obtain a rough plan and ask the people of the district for their opinions on how to effect improvements to it. The balance sheet disclosed assets of £1,482, £235 of it being raised in the last year.
