The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The Port Wakefield Soldiers Memorial hall which was mainly financed by sports meetings, picture shows and a Back to Wakefield carnival conducted by the Progress Association was opened by the Minister for Agriculture (Mr Hincks) on Saturday night.
