Mount Lawley - Inglewood War MemorialPrint Page 
The white rendered obelisk with a Celtic cross mounted on the top commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One, World War Two, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and the Malaya and Borneo conflicts.
The memorial, originally erected to commemorate the fallen soldiers of World War One, was unveiled by the Governor of Western Australia, Sir William Campion on the 30th November 1924. The memorial was erected by public subscription and the funds were raised by various means including a "Prize Packet" day where supervised schoolchildren sold lucky envelopes.
