The hall was erected to commemorate those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Colebrook had raised £500 towards reconstruction of the Colebrook Hall as a war memorial, Cr. A. D. Robertson said at the Richmond Council meeting yesterday. Cr. Robertson said the committee hoped to start the work soon, Plans had been prepared. The council decided to ask the Government for a £ for £ vote towards the memorial.
