Avenue of HonourPrint Page
The avenue was planted after 1919 by the Coleraine branch of the Returned Services League as a living memorial to those who served in the First World War. The planting closest to the township was dedicated to those who died during the war. There were two sections of planting, one dedicated to those who died in active service, and the other to those who served and returned.
The Black Saturday bushfires of February 2009 destroyed 54 trees and a new Avenue of Honour was replanted in April 24th 2010 to honour all women and men who have served in conflicts.
