The park commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The Executive Council yesterday approved of the setting aside at an area of 28 acres 2 roods 18 perches as a reserve for a memorial parkland recreation purposes, Amiens, under the control of Messrs R. J. Harslett, T. K. Archer, J. Small, S. T. Calvert and P.H. Barriners as trustees.
