Photographs supplied by Kent Watson

The hall was erected in memory of those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It was modernised in 1982 and renamed the Burdekin Memorial Hall.

At a well attended meeting of delegates from various organisations on the 12th February 1946, it was decided to start a campaign to raise funds for a new Soldier's Memorial Hall which is estimated to cost about £6000.
