The Lithgow War Memorial Olympic Pool commemorates those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The pool celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.

The memorial swimming pool committee expects to raise at least £12,000 a year towards the local project by 1/ a week subscriptions from industrial, shop, and office workers. A fund for the pool, which opened late last year, this week received the support of several hundred miners. Pool organisers will address pit-top meetings again this week to enlist support from more mines.
