The War Memorial commemorates those from the District who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The new memorial, which is dedicated to all wars, replaced the old memorial which commemorated the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two. The old memorial was destroyed by a pine tree in 2011.
