The framed artistic honour roll ommemorates the 18 members of the Gormanston Brass Band who served in World War One.

A letter was received at Council from the Gormanston Brass Band stating the honour roll for those members of the band who had gone to the war would be unveiled on Saturday;  August 18, and asking councillors to be present.— The Council decided to accept the invitation.
