Cradoc Honour RollPrint Page

Photographs supplied by Arthur Garland
The framed photographic honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One. The roll was originally presented to the Cradoc School in 1917.
A unique presentation will take place in the Cradoc public hall next Saturday evening when the local cadets will receive from the 93rd Infantry a large framed photo of the late Captain Percy H. Cherry, V.C. M.C., who was formerly a member of that unit. This is the first presentation of the kind to take place in the district, and is a fitting occasion for the public to express some of the admiration they feel for the deeds of that gallant young soldier. At the same time the local State school will be presented with a group of photos of Cradoc soldiers, with Capt. Cherry as the central figure. There will be no charge for admission to the function but a collection will be taken up to defray some slight expenses in connection therewith.
