Independent Order of Rechabites Roll of HonourPrint Page Print this page

Photographs supplied by Arthur Garland
The framed paper artistic honour roll commemorates members of the Independent Order of Rechabites who served in World War One. The roll contains photos of King George V, Senator C.F. Pearce, Minister of Defence and Lance Corporal Albert  Jacka, the first Australian to be awarded with the Victoria Cross.

Note : A roll which contained 9 names of members who volunteered for active service was unveiled at the Rechabite Lodge, Forth on the 9th October 1916. This appears to be a later roll.
