The wooden honour roll commemorates those from the Shire of Deakin who served in World War One.
TONGALA, Sunday.-Brigadier-General Elliott this afternoon unveiled at the portico of the Deakin Shire Hall, an honour Roll which carries the names of 325 soldiers who enlisted in the Great War from the Tongala district. Mr. John Allan, Councillor S. H. Strutt (president of the Deakin Shire), and Mr. L. Bayer, president of the Tongala sub-branch of the Returned Soldiers' League, also spoke.
