The wooden honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.

The little town and district of Dungog, 166 miles from Sydney sent no fewer than 400 soldiers to the war, 60 of whom have been killed, 3 missing, and 40 invalided home. Of the total, 85 were pupils of the local Superior Public school, and in their honour this roll has been unveiled.
