Kanowna Honour RollPrint Page

Photographs supplied by Sandy Duncan
The wooden honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.
The townsite of Kanowna is 18 kilometres north-east and gold was discovered there in 1893. The population reached 12,000 in 1905. The gold was mined out and by 1952 the town was abandoned.
Note: The roll was originally located in the Goldfields War Museum which was devastated by an earthquake in 2010. It was relocated temporarily to the Kalgoorlie Town Hall. The Goldfields Museum reopened in the Boulder Town Hall on the 7th January 2019.
