Jireh Baptist Church Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden honour roll from the Jireh Baptist Church commemorates those who served in World War One.
The Jireh Baptist Church was established in 1861 in Fortitude Valley, and was the third Baptist Church formed in Queensland. It ceased services in 1978.
The fifty-fifth anniversary celebration of the Jireh Baptist Church will be continued at 7. 45 this evening. The occasion will be a unique one on account of the unveiling of the honour board by Dr K N. Merrington, M.A., Ph. D. Other speakers will be Chaplain A. G. Weller and the Rev. T. Leitch. Pastor A. C. Jarvis will preside.
