The memorial commemorates the centenary of ANZAC and those who served in World War One. The memorial consists of a large wall mural located in a memorial space which includes the World War Two sundial.
Funding of $7273 was received in 2018 through the Armistice Centenary Grants Program for the construction of the memorial.
