The wooden roll of honour commemorates the Silverton Tramway employees who served in World War One.
The Silverton Tramways Employees took advantage of the visit of the Directors of their company to unveil their honour roll in their clubrooms on the 22nd September 1918. The roll was unveiled by Mr V Saddler one of the visiting Directors and contained the names of 38 of their fellow employees who enlisted. The proceedings were opened with the National Anthem and concluded with the singing of “God Save Our Splendid Men.”
