The metal honour roll commemorates those from Lyndoch and District who served in World War One.
On Saturday last an event of unusual interest took place when the Roll of Honour was unveiled. For sometime a committee has been at work for the purpose of providing a Roll of Honour to perpetuate the memory of the men of Lyndoch and district, who had gone to uphold the honour of the Empire. Their efforts were so successful that a very fine Honour Roll, of Wunderlich design, has been erected in the Institute Hall. The dedication plate bears the inscription, "Men who answered the call from Lyndoch and District," and the roll contains 59 names. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Colonel S. Price Weir ,D.S.O.,V.D.
