Lion Mill Honour RollPrint Page
The long rectangular honour roll contained within a glass case commemorates men from Lion Mill who enlisted in World War One.
Few towns in the State have given so freely of their manhood to the country since the outbreak of war as Lion Mill - over 60 per cent of the adult males being accepted for service. On Saturday last his Grace Archbishop Riley was invited to perform the ceremony of unveiling a roll of honour as a tribute to those who have enlisted and he was accompanied by Mr Nairn M.L.A., the member for the district.
