Photographs supplied by Graeme Saunders

The four paned stained glass window showing the death by stoning of Stephen, the first Christian killed for his faith, commemorates the fifteen hundred Australian Methodist soldiers who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.

There are 1500 names on the Methodist Church of Victoria honour rolls of members who died on active service, and steps are being taken to place in the Wesleyan Church, Melbourne, an appropriate memorial window.
