The plaque commemorates the completion of the building of the Freemasons Lodge in October 1926.

The Freemason Lodge is now the Mingenew Irwin Group Bankwest Centre.

On Monday evening last, a large attendance saw the opening of the Masonic Temple in Mingenew. The Temple was opened by the Hon. G. A. Kempton, M.L.C., who travelled from Perth for the occasion.

This memorial tablet to commemorate the completion of this hall was unveiled on the 25th October, 1926.
