              THIS PLAQUE

Honours The Pioneers Who Built The Angas Plains School On This Site. They Donated The School To The Board Of Education So A Teacher Would Then Be Appointed. The School Opened In 1861 And Closed In 1947. The Angas Plains Community Bought The School From The Education Department In 1959 And Used It As A Community Centre Until 1991. It Was Then Sold, The Proceeds From The Sale Were Invested Into A Trust Fund To Benefit Local Community Projects And Buildings.
