The plaque acknowledges the Gweagal clan of the Dharawal nations as traditional custodians of the land and pays respect to Elders past and present. 

A former Smithtown Tiger who was the first Aboriginal player for the Cronulla Sharks has helped unveil a Reconciliation Plaque at the club's home ground Kempsey's Phillip Dotti unveiled a Reconciliation Plaque at Pointsbett Stadium on Friday June 2 with fellow Indigenous former Shark player David Peachey.

The Cronulla Sharks acknowledge and respect the
Gweagal, the fire clan of the Dharawal Nation, as the
Traditional Owners and Custodians of this Land.

We pay respect to Elders past and present. We
acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures
of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and
their ongoing connection to land, water and 
community.
