The monument commemorates the many Aboriginal people buried in unmarked graves. The cemetery was used by local Aboriginal people after the nearby Ebenezer Mission was closed.

In memory of those aboriginal people from this area who are buried in this cemetery.
Also the burial place of Robert Kinnear winner of the 1883 Stawell Gift.
Erected by the Goolum Goolum Co-Op Ltd.
