Wurrunjerri Tribe MemorialPrint Page 
A dead red gum tree approximately 8 metres high which was an Aboriginal canoe tree, has a plaque on a cement block, and is preserved as a memorial to the Wurrunjerri [Wurundjerri] Tribe of Aborigines who roamed the district prior to the advent of Europeans.
The Wurundjeri are a people of the Indigenous Australian nation of the Woiwurrung language group, in the Kulin alliance, who occupy the Birrarung Valley, its tributaries and the present location of Melbourne, Australia.
