The plaque commemorates the foundation of the Uniting Church from the Methodist Church and St. Andrew`s Presbyterian Church congregations.
The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) was established on 22 June 1977 when most congregations of the Methodist Church of Australasia, about two thirds of the Presbyterian Church of Australia and almost all the churches of the Congregational Union of Australia came together under the Basis of Union.

This plaque was placed 30th July, 1978, by the Rev. Douglas F. Kirkup B.A. L.Th. Secretary of Synod
To commemorate the coming together of the peoples of the former Congregations of the Methodist and St. Andrew`s Presbyterian Churches, Kingaroy as the Uniting Church Kingaroy, on 22nd June, 1977.
