This tablet was dedicated by Rt. Rev. J. A. G. Housden, B.A., Th.D., Eighth Bishop of Newcastle

To commemorate the 100th. anniversary of the consecration of this church by Rt. Rev. Wm. T. Tyrrell, D.D., First Bishop of  Newcastle on the third Sunday in Advent, 1861.
