The chapel commemorates the Devon Park Congregational Church from 1929 to 1969.
The newly-formed Congregational cause at Devon Park is making rapid progress. The Sunday-school, under Mr. A. C. Altree, is adding almost weekly to its numbers. Last Sunday morning a Christian Endeavor Society was formed, and on Tuesday afternoon a number of ladies from the central organisation met the local ladles to form a Women's Guild. At the close of the Sunday-school tomorrow the Rev. W. J. Magor will attend and form a fellowship. It is expected that the new church will be received into membership of the union at the annual meetings in October.
