Consists of gilt horseshoes on top of a cairn in memory of the day in 1855 that miners celebrated the election of their first local member of Parliament, Daniel Cameron.

Cameron supposedly rode in a parade a horse shod with shoes of gold. The election followed a period of rivalry between the "monkeys or wet diggers" who worked the creeks and wore black woollen trousers and large coloured handkerchiefs, and the "punchers or dry diggers" who worked the dry banks and gullies and wore moleskins. Cameron was the monkey`s candidate.
