The Passchendaele Room was opened to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall.
The refurbished room was named to commemorate those who served on the Western Front during World War One.

The Passchendaele Room was opened by His Excellency Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair AC Governor of New South Wales on
13 August 1994 to commemorate the the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall.
This refurbished room was named in honour of those Tamworth citizens who served on the Western Front during World War I
