This plaque commemorates the official opening of the Sapphire Gemfields Interpretive Trail by Hon. Ken O`Dowd MP Member for Flynn and Cr Kerry Hayes, Mayor Central Highlands Regional Council on Friday, 11 August 2017
The Sapphire Gemfields Interpretive Trail project was funded by the Central Highlands Regional Council and the Australian Government, administered by the Queensland Government`s Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games.
