This plaque marks the site of the first sittings of Parliament under responsible government on April 22nd, 1857
Unveiled by His Excellency the Governor Air Vice-Marshal Sir Robert George K.C.V.O., K.B.E., C.B., M.C on April 26th, 1957 to mark the Centenary of Responsible Government.
Presented by the Pioneers Association of South Australia.
