A plaque commemorates Gold Coast photographer Les Simons.
Simons was a photographer on the Gold Coast Mirror newspaper and was official council photographer on promotional trips in the late sixties. His work greatly helped to promote the Gold Coast, in particular Broadbeach, as a place of glamour and fun. In later years he supplied the media with hundreds of promotional pictures of stars from Broadbeach International Hotel floor shows.
