Ted Dolby Place
This plaque is in honour of Ted Dolby.
Mr. Dolby has been a resident of Main Beach since 1960, as a member of the Main Beach Progress Association and for some years as President. He played a major part in the balanced development of the area.
He was an advocate for height restrictions and limitation of development on The Spit, pollution control of the Broadwater, Park protection from development and traffic improvements.
He liaised closely with Council and State Government Authorities for the betterment of community and environmental facilities in the Main Beach area.
